In December 2022, Walt Wizard unveiled his most ambitious work to date: the world's first hyper-realistic statue of Diego Armando Maradona, created as a tribute to the legendary Argentine footballer during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The sculpture was exhibited at the National Stadium of Lima as part of the tournament's official art exhibition and at "Football Unites Us," an event organized by the Embassy of Argentina and the Boca Juniors Consulate in Lima.

The statue captures the exact moment Maradona scores the iconic "Goal of the Century" against England during the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico. Walt Wizard devoted six months to the project, including two months of historical research and four months of production. Crafted with medical-grade silicone and natural human hair, the sculpture achieves an extraordinary level of realism. Every detail—from Maradona's facial expression and body posture to his uniform and accessories—was meticulously recreated to convey the passion, determination, and energy of one of football's greatest legends..​
